California Trip 12/24

CHRISTMAS EVE!!!!!

On Christmas Eve we went to Gustine early in the day to visit some of the aunts. Aunt Teri spoiled us with ravioli, Clayton is now her new boyfriend :) Cardon chewed on a homemade Italian breadstick and was a little charmer. He was passed from aunt to aunt and loved it. After Gustine we stopped by my grandma's again and then we went to Papa Tony's for a wonderful dinner and presents!!!

We were all very spoiled this year.

Especially Clayton! He met Uncle Mitch for the first time and was overjoyed with his present from him. GOLF CLUBS!

Later that night we drove back up to Paradise. We got there at 2am. Cardon slept the whole time in his new car seat that he got from Grandpa Zaugg.

California Trip 12/21-12/23

Cardon loves Papa Tony!

On the 21st we all went out to our favorite Mexican restaurant in Modesto.

El Rosal!!!! Man I love their enchiladas. They always stick us in the back room. I don't know why... it's not like we're loud or anything... :)

On the 22nd we went to The Taylor Family Christmas Party. It is so fun to see cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Every year they read the nativity and sing hymns to go with it. We play games and have a gift exchange. This year was special because my grandmother had everyone go around and say what things had changed their lives in that last year. It was so great to hear what is going on in everyone's lives and what they are grateful for.

It just isn't a real Modesto visit unless we see the Lemmo Family!

California Trip 12/20

This was our first time at Clayton's dad's house in Paradise, CA as a family.

Cardon and I were able to meet Grandpa Howard Zaugg.

He is a wonderful man and we had a great time with him.

San Francisco

We went to California for Christmas. It was a really great trip for us. We started our trip 1:30am Saturday, Dec. 19. We decided to leave during the night so Cardon could sleep the entire time in the car. Our plan worked out really well. He slept almost the whole way only waking up to eat. We arrived in Modesto around 8 in the morning. We saw Papa Tony for an hour and then it was back in the car for us. We had planned on going to Paradise from there but decided to take a detour through San Francisco first.

While there we spent most of our time at Pier 39. We had clam chowder in bread bowls, window shopped, and bought tons of salt water taffy.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

This is what my house looked like while wrapping presents...

Below is my 4 footer on the stairs. It is my "czech tree". I bought all the ornaments while serving my mission in the Czech Republic. They are made from straw and have silver glitter on them. They come in the shape of stars, reindeer, and angels.

This one is our main tree in the family room. I really love it. It is covered with handmade ornaments that Clayton's sister Sara made using buttons from their Grandmother's collection.

Looks like we're all ready!

This is the one we chose for ours. I was so happy that we got a good one of Cardon smiling. He smiles all the time now and in the last week has gotten really good at giggling!
