I'm just a slacker when it comes to posting things on the blog.

Clayton's 30th Birthday Party!!!

For Clayton's 30th Birthday we decided to invite some family and friends over for swimming and food. It was really fun and we had a great turn out. We were a little nervous about the weather since it hasn't been as hot as usual in Vegas for this time of year. It had been windy for a few days but we were blessed to have the sun come out and the wind stop for the hours of the party.

For the food we had pulled pork sandwiches, broccoli salad, 7 layer bean dip, and fruit kabobs. I made the pork for the first time ever and it turned out!! The cake was a little more complicated.... Clayton had told me that he wanted a chocolate cake with whipped chocolate frosting so I called Sam's Club and placed an order for a full sheet cake. When I got there to pick it up they told me that there was a problem and the cake wasn't exactly as I had ordered it. They then pulled out a small white cake with white frosting!!!! The worst part is that they expected me to take it and pay for it!! I couldn't believe it. Less than an hour until the party starts and I have no cake. They could tell I was very upset and somehow fixed my order and we got the right cake just in time. Boy was it worth it... Yummy!!!

Trip to Santa Maria, CA

We recently went to Santa Maria, Ca for Memorial Day Weekend.  Clayton was born there and spent much of his childhood there.  While there we were able to spend time with his brother's family.  They just had a precious little girl named Gracie.  We were also able to spend some time at the beach.  It was so beautiful! We had fun writing Cardon's name in the sand.

We had an ultrasound done on April 10th.  We're a little late posting the pictures but hey...  

Our little man is quite the mover and shaker.  He made it very difficult to see that he is in fact a BOY!!!!  We couldn't be happier.  We've decided to name him Cardon.  His due date is September 2nd.  We can't wait until he comes.  We've been busy since the ultrasound with nursery projects and of course shopping for the cutest baby boy things.

We were married in the Las Vegas, NV temple.  

It was the most beautiful day ever!

After our wedding and amazing reception we honeymooned for a whole week in DisneyLand.  It was Clayton's second time to DisneyLand ever.  We had a blast and never wanted the week to end.  Before we came back to Las Vegas we went to the beach and a Dodger game.  We lived in our cute little apartment for a while, but when the opportunity presented itself in November we bought our first home.  We are now in Henderson, NV in a little 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom town home.  We have been having a lot of fun moving in and really making it ours.  In January we found out that we were expecting our first baby and in February we brought home our first puppy.  Needless to say, things have been really exciting for us and we are loving life! 

We are finally blogging!!!!

We've decided that since our family is growing that we should set up a blog to share with those we love.  Clayton has been trying to get me to do this for some time now but I'm not gifted when it comes to technology so I've been putting it off.  Finally I decided to just go for it and see how it turns out.
