October 3rd, My Birthday
For my 25th birthday this year I decided to participate in a 5k breast cancer walk. I thought it would be a great way to support breast cancer awareness and kick start getting into shape after having a baby. We had a lot of fun (except for getting up at 6am) and we are planning on doing it again next year.
My mom, sisters, friend Kira, and my lovely boys all participated with me. We made pink tie dye shirts so we would all match. MaryAnn is the expert on these. She and her boyfriend Kirk would tie dye things all the time before he left on his mission to Canada.
I was a little nervous about taking Cardon but he was a champ and slept in his stroller the whole walk. People kept telling me how cute my daughter was..... Umm.... Yeah he was wearing pink but everyone was!
After the walk was over we all went to my parents house to watch General Conference. In between the sessions we went out for Sushi!!! I couldn't eat it while pregnant so this was Clayton's treat for me on my birthday. It was really good. Later that evening my sisters came over to my house and we watched movies and baked. It was a fun day!

August 21, 2009
On Friday August 21st we decided to go to the hospital since I had been having contractions. They weren't very regular and they didn't hurt at all so I didn't think they would admit me but when we got there around 5pm I was already dilated 4.5 cm and ready to go.
Since my contractions weren't totally regular they broke my water and then started to escalate my labor. I couldn't believe that I was actually in the hospital about to have a baby!
I have never been a patient in a hospital before and was nervous about everything but my Dr. and all the nurses were great and it was a good experience. Labor was about 6 hours long with few complications. I had to push for 2 hours :( and his heart rate went down a couple of times while in the birth canal. It was a little scary but our prayers were answered and everything worked out in the end.
Right after being admitted.

Clayton is a proud Daddy!
Our little bundle of joy!
He came out with a shiner (right eye). Poor little man.
We are so happy that Cardon is here. He is such a sweet little baby and fills our lives with joy.
